DVM, M.Sc.

Practice Owner

Dr. Kaylee Bohaychuk-Preuss graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and completed a Master’s degree in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences in 2016. She has worked in small animal and mixed animal general practice since graduation.

In 2019, she completed an intensive two-year distance education course on feline medicine through the University of Sydney, Australia. Dr. Bohaychuk-Preuss works with Alberta Helping Animals Society and volunteers on the registration committee for the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association.

When not in the clinic, she can be found playing violin, cross country skiing, mountain biking or curling up with her two cats – Lucille Bluth and Fomo.

Practice Owner

Dr. Daryl Meger graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Upon graduation, he worked in a mixed animal practice in Westlock for 8 years. He then went on and built the Whitemud Creek Vet Clinic in Edmonton and oversaw operations there until 2018.

Since that time he has been working with companion animals in the Edmonton area. He has volunteered his time on the Investigation Committee with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, the admissions committee for veterinary medicine in Saskatoon and is the current President of the Edmonton Association of Small Animal Veterinarians.

He enjoys the outdoors, gardening, travelling and playing guitar for his Golden Retriever Lily.

BA Spec.(Criminology)

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Tanya Marrazzo graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and has been both an ER veterinarian and a small animal general practice veterinarian since then.

Dr. Marrazzo has also spent time volunteering with the ABVMA in the Companion Animal Committee and most recently as an Investigator for the Complaints Review Board.

When not at work she loves caring for a multitude of houseplants and her raised garden beds in the summer.  Additionally she loves walking in the river valley with her doggo Jack, the best Rottie (in her opinion) to ever live! She also shares ownership of a spritely 61 year old Amazon named Bud with her mother and he spends time at both homes.

Malika graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in 2022 and has been working in the field since 2021. She loves working with animals big and small, often preferring them to her human companions.

When she’s not making friends with all of the little critters in the clinic Malika enjoys hiking, painting, and spending time with her school of fish.

Jessica is a dedicated veterinary technician with a passion for animal care. Graduating from NAIT in 2019, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work.

With a background in both general practice and emergency medicine, she's adept at handling any situation that comes her way. At home, Jessica shares her life with her husband and two beloved cats, Wanda and Boo.

When she's not at the clinic you can find her exploring the mountains on hikes or furthering her knowledge, and interest, in diagnostic imaging. With her compassionate nature and expertise, Jessica is committed to providing the best care possible for your furry companions.

AHT Student

Kayla's passion for animal care started when she began working at Capilano Animal Clinic in 2022. Though initially at the front desk, her interest in animal health grew, and she jumped at the opportunity to train as a Veterinary Assistant.

Kayla is now gaining hands-on experience with patients while also pursuing her education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

When she's not at work or hitting the books, you can find Kayla spending quality time with friends, family, and her own pets at home. Driven by a heart for animal wellness, Kayla is devoted to compassionate veterinary care.

Maya graduated from the Veterinary Medical Assistant program from CDI College in 2022 and has been working in the field since. She has a deep love for all animals, especially her two little fur babies, Pluto and Fat Man.

Working with animals has always been a dream of Maya’s. To be able to live out that dream and be apart of such a great team is a once in a lifetime blessing. She is so excited to get to see every pet that walks through the front door and to offer you her best service!

Mason’s journey into the veterinary world began right here at Capilano Animal Clinic! In reception he quickly fell in love with the profession and gained invaluable practical skills from our knowledgeable and friendly team.

Inspired by his passion for animal care and client relationships, he continually pursues continuing education opportunities to expand his knowledge and better serve our clients.

Beyond the clinic, you'll often find Mason enjoying quality time with friends, family, and his two adorable cats. His positive attitude and eagerness to grow ensure that you'll always receive good care and attention at Capilano Animal Clinic.
