REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS

MELINA
RVT
Happy to be back home in the prairies, Melina completed the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, having graduated in 2022. As a new technician, she is eager to continue learning from her peers and is determined to do the best she can for each animal she meets, from the biggest Bernese to the cutest kitten, even rescuing spiders from the break room!

During the summer she likes being out and about, longboarding with friends, growing food in the backyard, or throwing herself into the wilderness to go backpacking. In the colder months, when she’s not snowboarding, she’s likely sketching or painting while watching streamers game, her rescue cat Pumpkin never too far away.
JESSICA
RVT
Jess graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in 2013. She has a passion for client education and loves a busy day at the clinic with lots of puppies. Jess is proud to work with such a great team right in her own community of Capilano, giving back to friends, neighbours and their companion animals.

She has 1 fur baby at home- a medium mixed breed dog named Monty and 2 not so furry daughters. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find Jess buried under a pile of fabric as she is also an avid seamstress and makes the cutest kids clothes! She also has an interest in gardening (duh!) and decorating cakes.
